JOB VACANCIES

We are looking to recruit a further Nurse Practioner and this advert will shortly be available on NHS Jobsite.

We have a Dispensary Apprenticeship which will be a full time role with training provided. You must be willing to study towards Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ) (QCF) and  Level 2 Certificate in Pharmaceutical Science.

We also have a full time apprentice vacancy who will be required to study for an NVQ2 in Business Administration. This will be partly working in our dispensary as a prescription clerk.

Please contact Julie Withey our Business Manager in the first instance to request further information. The job will be advertised on the National Apprentice Website.

New telephone system

This is now up and running - please bear with us as we get to know the new system. All calls are subject to your normal landline/mobile rates for calling a BT local number

Online Appointments

A small number of appointments only are available to book online  during this interim period.

We are planning to make improvements to our online offering in the next few months.

Missed appointments

We continue to have a very high number of patients who fail to attend appointments they have made each day so please do remember to cancel so they can be offered to other patients who may really need them . You can cancel your appointments online.

Mr Steve Williets is our practice pharmacist and can provide expert advice on your medication. He is available by appointment for your annual medication review. If you have a query with your medication Dispensary can organise for Mr. Williets to contact you rather than booking an appointment to see your GP. He does our medication reviews and in cetain situations can also prescribe.

On occasions a medication you are on might be altered by recommendation from the PCT. This is usually when there are equally effective but cheaper alternatives available. If you receive information from the practice about such a change Mr Williets will be available to discuss the changes with you.
