Welcome to our new staff

Sara Phelps has joined us as Team Leader in reception, you may see Sara in our waiting room and she looks forward to speaking with you. Her role is to improve the service levels we offer

Amy Milnes is our new receptionist who will also be spending some time in our dispensary to hand out medication as part of her role. This is to improve the service we offer from our dispensing team

Our new Healthcare Assistant Evie joined us in April and works closely with our Nurse team. She also stock Doctors rooms and provide chaperoning if required.

Sadly we have said goodbye to Nurse Angela who has been a big part of our clinical team and has taken early retirement. We wish her well as she moves onto a new chapter in her life.

 Appointments

A small number of online appointments are available to book. We are planning to make improvements to our online offering in the next few months.

We continue to have a very high number of patients who fail to attend appointments they have made each day so please do remember to cancel so they can be offered to other patients who may really need them . You can cancel your appointments online.

 Online Access to records

We now offer patients access to their records. We will have further information about this on our website shortly. Please note you will need to provide photographic ID to get the required log on. Please ask reception for more information.

Holiday Vaccinations

The practice nurses provide advice and vaccination for all foreign travels. Please complete a holiday questionnaire (available from reception) and return it to the surgery at least eight weeks before you intend to travel. The nurse will then check if you require any vaccinations and any necessary appointments can be made.

Please note from 1st May 2014 we will no longer offer Yellow Fever Vaccinations. Some vaccinations may incur a charge.

If you require Malaria medication we will provide a private script for you to take to a pharmacy of your choice. This enables you to shop around for the best price.

Information about countries and vaccinations required can be found on the links below:

Europe Europe & RussiaNorth America North America
Central America Central Americaindia South America
egypt Carribeanlithuania Africa
bulgaria Middle Eastpoland Central Asia

It is important to make the initial appointment as early as possible  - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travelto allow the vaccines to work.
